Dear members and friends,

Health investigators estimate that genetic defects are present in at least 10 percent of all adults. A mutation in a person’s genes can cause a medical condition called a genetic disorder, a health problem caused by one or more abnormalities in the genome.

On October 6th, join us for a new ICCO AIRI Lecture to learn more about the different types of these particular diseases and how they are detected.

Dr. Stella Lanni, Research Associate at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, will explain in a simple but significant way, the DNA alterations that are transmitted within family’s generations or that can accumulate during a person’s life due to environmental exposure.

The webinar is part of the ICCO AIRI Lectures series, educational seminars organized in collaboration with AIRIcerca, the Embassy of Italy to Canada, Consulate General of Italy in Toronto, Italian Trade Agency, Istituto Italiano di Cultura and Italian National Tourist Board.

We look forward to connecting with you!

Sincerely,

Corrado Paina
Executive Director
Italian Chamber of Commerce of Ontario Canada (ICCO Canada)
